Álvaro García Linera: Aportes teóricos sobre el Estado y la transición en el Siglo XXI latinoamericano

Abstract

El presente trabajo tiene el propósito de analizar los aportes de Álvaro García Linera a la teoría política latinoamericana, centrándose en los conceptos de Estado y transición. Para ello, se toma como punto partida la idea althusseriana del “marxismo como teoría finita”, es decir, el carácter incompleto de la teoría marxista, y por lo tanto, la necesidad de actualizar sus categorías a la luz de las transformaciones históricas. Al mismo tiempo, se plantean algunos antecedentes teóricos en los que abrevan los trabajos del Vicepresidente de Bolivia, entre los cuales destacamos principalmente tanto al autor chileno-alemán Norbert Lechner como al pensador boliviano René Zavaleta Mercado. Aquellos conceptos de García Linera en los que pondremos el foco en las páginas de este trabajo serán los de bidimensionalidad estatal, punto(s) de bifurcación y tensiones creativas.

The present work aims to analyze the contributions of Álvaro García Linera to Latin American political theory, focusing on the concepts of State and transition. For this, the Althusserian idea of "Marxism as a finite theory" is taken as a starting point, that is, the incompleteness of Marxist theory, and therefore, the need to update its categories in the light of historical transformations. At the same time, some theoretical background is presented in which the works of the Vice President of Bolivia are highlighted, among which we highlight mainly the Chilean-German author Norbert Lechner and the Bolivian thinker René Zavaleta Mercado. Those concepts of García Linera in which we will focus on the pages of this work will be those of state two-dimensionality, point(s) of bifurcation and creative tensions.
