La cobertura mediática del 7D en la prensa argentina. Aplicación de encuadres noticiosos genéricos a los principales diarios nacionales

Abstract

El presente artículo procura comparar el tipo de cobertura que tres diarios argentinos (Clarín, La Nación y Página/12) realizaron del denominado 7D, en alusión al 7 de diciembre de 2012, durante el mes previo y el posterior a esa fecha (del 7 de noviembre al 7 de enero). La base conceptual del estudio es la Teoría del Encuadre. Se realiza una aplicación deductiva de encuadres noticiosos genéricos definidos en trabajos previos con el objetivo de poner en discusión si tales frames son efectivamente adaptables a diversos tópicos, a lo largo del tiempo y en diferentes contextos culturales, o si es necesario considerar las particularidades de dichos escenarios para la definición y persistencia de los encuadres predominantes en las noticias.Indexada en: LATINDEX; Google Scholar Metrics; Revencyt; ERIH PLUS; Dialnet; Ulrich´s Periodicals Directory; REDIB; Rebiun; RICYT; SciLit (GRUPO A).

This article seeks to compare the type of coverage that three Argentine newspapers (Clarín, La Nación and Página/12) performed of the so-called "7D" referring to December 7th, 2012, during the month before and the month after that date (from November 7th to January 7th). The Supreme Court of Argentina had established December 7th as a key step in the implementation process of Law of Audiovisual Communication Services (LSCA). From then on, the most important media conglomerate in the country, Grupo Clarín, would have to start the divestment process necessary to comply with the requirements of the new communication law, which had been enacted in 2009. The conceptual basis of the study is the Framing theory. Therefore, a deductive application of generic news frames defined in previous works will be made with the aim of putting in discussion if such frames are effectively adaptable to various topics throughout time and in different cultural contexts or if it is necessary to consider the distinctive features of these scenarios for the definition and persistence of the predominant frames in the news.
