Historias mínimas.Autobiografía y biografías en los Diarios de José Martí

Abstract

A partir de la problematización de las estrategias de autorización del escritor en el siglo XIX se considera a los Diarios de Campaña de José Martí De Montecristi a Cabo Haitiano y De Cabo Haitiano a Dos Ríos (1895) como una autobiografía plural. Por eso, se entiende el relato como una autobiografía, en tanto cuenta la historia de uno, de Martí, pero también, una Historia, porque es también la historia de otros, del pueblo cubano, recuperada a través de la memoria de los protagonistas genuinos de la Guerra Grande y de la Guerra Chiquita. En esos conflictos, a través de una tensión entre el “yo” y el “nosotros” se revela el modo en que Martí construye un proyecto de nación integrador de todos los sectores sociales.

Beggining from the problematization of the writer’s authorization strategies in the 19th Century, De Montecristi a Cabo Haitiano and De Cabo Haitiano a Dos Ríos (1895), the Campaign Diaries of José Martí are considered as a plural autobiography. This is the reason why the narration is understood as an autobiography, in so far as it tells the story of one person, of Martí, but also, a History, because it is also the story of others, of the Cuban people, which is recovered through the memory of the genuine protagonists of the Big War and the Little War. Through a tension between the “I” and the “we”, in these conflicts reveal the way in which Martí builds a project of nation integrating all social sectors.
