El programa sociológico de Niklas Luhmann y su contexto

Abstract

Este trabajo reconstruye los fundamentos del proyecto disciplinario que el prestigioso sociólogo alemán Niklas Luhmann delineó hacia 1984 mediante la publicación de Soziale Systeme ("Sistemas sociales"). Esta reconstrucción sitúa históricamente dicho proyecto en los contextos histórico, institucional y disciplinario del primer lustro de los años ochenta y enfoca el nuevo lugar que le adjudicó a la comunicación en aquel proyecto. Se sugiere que Luhmann forjó los fundamentos operativos de su giro comunicativo en la tensión entre tradición y disciplina.

This paper reconstructs the foundations of the sociological project that the prestigious German sociologist Niklas Luhmann outlined in 1984 with the publication of Soziale Systeme ("Social systems"). This reconstruction situates historically that project in the historical, institutional and disciplinary context of the first half of 1980s and focuses on the new place that such a project attributed to communication. The article suggests that Luhmann forged the operative fundamentals of his communicative turn within the tension between tradition and discipline.
