¿Cómo interactuamos aquí y allá? Análisis de expresiones verbales en una clase presencial y otra virtual a partir de dos sistemas de codificación diferentes

Abstract

En un contexto muy caracterizado por experiencias aisladas e incipientes en el uso de plataformas informáticas, el objetivo de este estudio fue analizar las características de la interacción sociocognitiva de un mismo grupo blended learning en una clase presencial y otra virtual, en las cuales se desarrollaron temas y tareas análogas. Se utilizaron dos sistemas de codificación: una planilla de observación diseñada para clases presenciales y uno construido para el análisis de interacciones mediadas. Los resultados indicaron, entre otros aspectos, una mayor variedad de intervenciones en la interacción presencial que en la virtual, y fue más simple el traslado del modelo de codificación de lo presencial a lo virtual que viceversa.

Given the incipient and fragmented nature of research into the use of information platforms, the study's aim was to analyze characteristics of sociocognitive interaction in a blended learning group, in both a virtual and a face-to-face classroom environment. Similar subjects and tasks were conducted in both settings. The study employed two different codification systems: one designed for analyzing traditional face-to-face interactions, and the other for mediated interactions. The results indicated a greater variety of interactions within the face-to-face setting than in the virtual one, among other findings. It was also easier to apply the face-to-face coding model for use in analyzing the virtual setting than the other way around.
