¡Viva la Constitución! La prensa y la imagen de la Constitución gaditana en el Perú, 1812-1814

Abstract

En plena conmemoración del bicentenario de la Constitución de Cádiz, esta investigación tiene como objetivo principal el estudio de la imagen que la prensa de Lima construyó del itinerario político de la Carta gaditana en el Perú. Puntualmente, cómo en el contexto de las guerras de independencia, la Constitución se convirtió en el instrumento político fundamental para contrarrestar el influjo negativo de la revolución y sostener la legitimidad de la autoridad monárquica en América.

In full observance of the bicentennial of the Constitution of Cadiz, thisresearch has as main objective the study of the image the Lima press builtthe political route of the Cadiz Charter in the Peru. On time, how in thecontext of the wars of independence, the Constitution became the key political instrument to counter the negative influence of the revolution andsustain the legitimacy of monarchical authority in America.
