El unicato... La ley de lemas y la reelección indefinida en la provincia de Formosa

Abstract

En Argentina, los sistemas electorales cambian de distrito en distrito y dentro de las opciones, el doble voto simultáneo, es un punto controvertido en los últimos años dentro de los sistemas electorales en los que rige ya que es cuestionado por no respetar la voluntad popular, dado que su forma de aplicar hace que no siempre gane el candidato más votado. Este trabajo da cuenta de las implicancias de la aplicación y derogación parcial de dicho mecanismo en la provincia de Formosa para la elección de Gobernador y Vice y sus consecuencias sobre el sistema electoral y político provincial en el contexto de la reelección indefinida.

This research is an account of the implications of the voting system modifications in the Argentine Province of Formosa for the election of Governor and Deputy Governor positions, and their consequences on the provincial voting and political system. The federalism that characterizes the country drives the different voting districts to change from district to district. In the case of the Province of Formosa, this becomes more evident due to the adoption of the double simultaneous voting system, the variables involved, and the scope of the voting system throughout the recent history in the province, in the context of indefinite re-election.
