La evolución histórica de la actividad pesquera en el estuario de Bahia Blanca. Período 1982-1998

Abstract

El objetivo del trabajo fue analizar la evolución de la pesc a artesanal, en el estuario de Bahía Blanca, considerando los cambios en la legislación pesquera, las artes de pes ca y los agentes receptores del producto en los diferentes puertos. El recurso pesquero declinó significativamente durante el período de estudio provocando un cambio en la legislación nacional y provincial, modificando la forma de captura para conservarlo. Una cooperativa concentraba la información y la recepción de captura; pa rtir del año 1998 cesa sus actividades dando paso a una descentralización de la información y comercialización del producto.

The objective of the wo rk was to analyze the evolution of the artisanal fishing in the Bahía Blanca estuary related to changes in the fisheries legislation, fishing equipment a nd the commercialization of th e product in the different estuary harbors. The fisheries decline during the study period causing a change in the fisheries legislation. Therefore, to preserve the resource the fishing equipment used by the fishermen was modified. A Cooperative used to concentrate all the fishing information and captures from the estuary. However, it ceases its activities in 1998 giving rise to decentralization of the information and commercialization of the product.
