Aradidae are a flat bugs, they have a flattened shape and somber colors well adapted for a lifestyle on or under the bark of dead trees. The pronounced elongation of the stylets is a remarkable adaptation to exploit juices of fungi during feeding.For the Neotropical Region, 80 genera and 509 species are recognized. Generalcharacteristics, diagnosis, biology, and ecology of Neotropical aradids arepresented.
