Entre la formalidad de las reglas, las disposiciones y las estrategias: Algunas notas para pensar la estructura organizativa e institucional de la Cooperativa Agrícola de Monte Maíz Ltda. (finales del siglo XX y principios del XXI)

Abstract

En este artículo nos proponemos revisitar los enfoques interpretativos que subyacen en los estudios sobre cooperativismo agropecuario. En general, las investigaciones manifiestan un predominio del neoinstitucionalismo. Estos observan la dinámica de las organizaciones en función a las reglas que las regulan en tanto entienden que estas condicionan las conductas de los agentes que las constituyen. Reconocemos los aportes que estos han realizado al conocimiento de las cooperativas, no obstante, procuramos acercarnos a su trayectoria histórica a partir de la multiplicidad de factores que indicen en la gestión de las estrategias de estas empresas ante determinados contextos, en particular durante el agronegocio. Para ello, optamos por la reducción de la escala de análisis. Entendemos que la reconstrucción de las estrategias de reproducción empresarial que se gestaron en la Cooperativa Agrícola de Monte Maíz Ltda. entre finales del siglo XX y principios del XXI, nos permite introducir aportes conceptuales complementarios para recuperar esa complejidad. Con este trasfondo, empleamos fuentes provenientes del archivo de la cooperativa objeto de estudio.

In this article we intend to revisit the interpretive approaches that underlie studies on agricultural cooperatives. In general, the investigations show a predominance of neo-institutionalism. They observe the dynamics of organizations based on the rules that regulate them as long as they understand that these condition the behavior of the agents that constitute them. We recognize the contributions that they have made to the knowledge of cooperatives, however, try to get closer to their historical trajectory based on the multiplicity of factors that influence the management of the strategies of these companies in certain contexts, particularly during agribusiness. For this, we opted for the reduction of the scale of analysis. We understand that the reconstruction of the business reproduction strategies that were developed in the Cooperativa Agrícola de Monte Maíz Ltda. between the end of the 20th century and the beginning of the 20th century, allows us to introduce complementary conceptual contributions to recover that complexity. With this background, we use sources from the archive of the cooperative under study.
