Políticas lingüísticas para migrantes chinosde ultramar: análisis de un material de enseñanza de putonghua utilizado en laCiudad de Buenos Aires

Abstract

Este artículo analiza manuales de enseñanza del putonghua a descendientes de migrantes chinos, cuya confección forma parte delas acciones que el Estado chino realiza a través de la Oficina de Asuntos de los Chinos de Ultramar (OCAO, su sigla en inglés) y laEmbajada china en Argentina, con el objetivo de facilitar la enseñanza de la lengua a los descendientes de migrantes, como parte desus políticas lingüísticas transestatales. Durante los años 2015 y 2016 realicé observaciones en dos “escuelas chinas” de la Ciudadde Buenos Aires. Durante las clases, observé que uno de los materiales utilizados era la serie de libros Zhongwen. Esta investigacióntiene como propósito el análisis de este material de enseñanza para dar cuenta de, por un lado, qué ideologías sobre el lenguaje ysobre los aprendientes de esta lengua se observan en este manual y, por el otro, cómo este material busca construir un “migrantechino de ultramar modelo” homogéneo, que no se diferencia de migrantes de origen chino residentes en distintas partes del mundo.

This article examines a series of textbooks for the teaching of Putonghua, designed to facilitate the learning of the Chinese language among descendants of migrants in Argentina. They were developed by the Chinese State through the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office (OCAO) and the Chinese Embassy in Argentina, as part of their trans-state language policies. During 2015 and 2016 I conducted surveys in two "Chinese schools" in the City of Buenos Aires. One of the materials they use is the Zhongwen textbook series. In this research, I focus on the analysis of these textbooks, which will shed light, on the one hand, on the ideologies regarding language and language learners and, on the other hand, on how these teaching materials seek to shape a homogeneous “model of overseas Chinese migrant”, thus erasing the differences with migrants of Chinese origin living in other parts of the world.
