Universalismo y ciudadanía: La incapacidad cívica de las mujeres en la filosofía política de Kanr

Abstract

En este trabajo se analiza el alcance de las afirmaciones kantianas en favor de la libertad y la autonomía con el fin de comprender su potencia emancipatoria en relación con la ciudadanía femenina. Se intenta repasar la estructuración teórica mediante la cual el autor restringe la ciudadanía de las mujeres aun contando con un instrumental teórico coherente con la libertad política y civil de las personas en general. Para ello se pondrá énfasis en la operación a través de la cual Kant priva a las mujeres de la capacidad de actuar según principios y se relacionará dicha privación con la ciudadanía pasiva. Por último, se analizarán las dificultades de conciliación de la teoría política kantiana con la ciudadanía activa de las mujeres y las posibles formas de armonización.

In this paper, the grasp of Kant’s assertions in favor of freedom and autonomy is analyzed in order to understand the emancipatory power of his political thought in connection with female citizenship. It tries to review the theoretical structure by which the author restricts women’s citizenship and nevertheless, he has a theoretical instrumental completely consistent with the political and civil freedom of people in general. To this end, emphasis will be placed on the operation through which Kant deprives women of the capacity to act according to principles and this deprivation will be related to passive citizenship. Finally, the difficulties of reconciling Kantian political theory with women's active citizenship and possible ways of harmonization will be analyzed.
