Valores del docente universitario

Abstract

Los valores en la docencia universitaria están visibles a los ojos de los estudiantes, estos ven en sus maestros un ejemplo a seguir, el objetivo de estudio fue comprender los relatos de los docentes de la universidad ecuatoriana, vinculando los valores con la enseñanza en Educación Superior. Se empleó una metodología sustentada en la vera cualitativa interpretativa con enfoque en los relatos biográficos y autobiográficos, para la selección de los participantes se encuestó a los estudiantes de último semestre en la Universidad de Guayaquil, se utilizó las técnicas de las entrevistas y los guiones como instrumentos, se realizó la selección desde criterios de inclusión y se obtuvo el consentimiento informado por escrito de parte de los participantes, se realizó una categorización axial para encontrar aquellas palabras que merecían ser analizadas e interpretadas, el método del discurso y la hermenéutica con lo cual se llegó a la teoría emergente. Se concluye que docentes universitarios de la Universidad de Guayaquil, son personas con valores que despliegan en sus prácticas pedagógicas y que esto los ha habilitado a ser considerados como Maestros huella por sus estudiantes.

The values in university teaching are visible to the eyes of the students, they see in their teachers an example to follow, the objective of the study was to understand the stories of the teachers of the Ecuadorian university, linking the values with teaching in Higher Education. A methodology based on the qualitative interpretative field was used with a focus on biographical and autobiographical stories; for the selection of the participants; the students of the last semester at the University of Guayaquil were surveyed, the techniques of interviews and scripts were used as instruments, the selection was made based on inclusion criteria and the written informed consent was obtained from the participants, an axial categorization was carried out using the ATLAS.ti program to find those words that deserved to be analyzed and interpreted, the method of discourse and hermeneutics with which the emerging theory was reached. It is concluded that university professors of Universidad de Guayaquil are people with values that are deployed in their pedagogical practices and that this has enabled them to be considered as indelible traces teachers by their students.
