Escuela secundaria y juventudes en Argentina: Los Centro de Estudiantes y las demandas de Educación Sexual Integral como soportes de las experiencias escolares

Abstract

En este artículo indagamos las experiencias escolares juveniles y sus soportes en los diferentes tipos de oferta institucional del nivel secundario, en el marco de la pandemia por COVID-19 y el regreso paulatino a la presencialidad en Argentina. Los datos empíricos derivan del estudio “Diversificación de la estructura de la escuela secundaria y segmentación educativa en América Latina” de CEPAL-IIPE UNESCO Buenos Aires y UNICEF, donde se realizaron grupos focales y entrevistas-semiestructuradas. En este trabajo profundizamos en el Centro de Estudiantes y las demandas por el derecho a la educación sexual integral como instancias de participación y sociabilidad que, desde las narrativas juveniles, aparecen como soportes privilegiados de sus experiencias escolares.

In this article we investigate the supports of school experiences, attending to the types of institutional offer of secondary level, in a context of the COVID-19 pandemic and the gradual return to face-to-face classes in Argentina. The empirical data come from the study “Diversification of the secondary school structure and educational segmentation in Latin America” by ECLAC-IIEP UNESCO Buenos Aires and UNICEF, where focus groups and semi-structured interviews were carried out. In this article we are going to focus into the Student Center and the demands for the right to comprehensive sexual education (ESI) that, as instances of participation and sociability appear, from youth narratives, as privileged supports of school experiences.
