Tres crónicas de José Ingenieros olvidadas en las páginas de La Nación

Abstract

Durante 1905y 1906, José Ingenieros envió desde Europa al diario La Naciónde Buenos Airesmás de treinta crónicas, casi todas recogidas posteriormente en libros. El objetivo de este artículo es reflexionar sobre el caso de tres crónicasque tienen en común el hecho de haber quedado olvidadas en las páginas del diario; son las únicas que nunca pasaron a formar parte de los libros. El destino de estos escritosnos estimula a plantearnos nuevas preguntas sobre la relación entre periodismo, literaturay otros discursos sociales, como la ciencia, así como eltratar de esclarecer la línea de frontera, al menos en el caso de Ingenieros, entre la publicación en periódicos y la edición en forma de libro.Buscamos determinar posibles razones para la decisiónautoral de excluir estos textos de sus antologías de crónicas, que justificamos en la premeditada construcción de suautofiguración autoral. // In 1905-1906, José Ingenieros sent to Buenos Aires from Europe more than thirty chronicles to La Nación. Most of them were included, lately, in several books. The aim of this paper is to reflect on three chronicles that were forgotten in the newspaper pages; they are the only ones that never took part in his anthologies. Those texts seemed to be condemned to the ephemeral existence typical of the press and its destiny motivate our research on some topics: the relationship between the press, the literature and other social discourses, like the scientific ones; the process that conduct from the chronicles published in the newspaper and the compilation of them in a book. We search for reasonable arguments, within the Ingenieros intellectual project, that explain the decision to exclude those texts from his chronicles anthologies and we find some possible causes in the conscious building of his author’s figure.
