Revisitando el proceso de formación del Estado federal. Articulaciones y tensiones en la perspectiva de los actores socio institucionales del sur cordobés (1852-1861)

Abstract

Este artículo aporta a un mayor conocimiento de la construcción del Estado federal durante los años 1852 a 1861, a partir del análisis sobre el desempeño de actores sociales y agentes estatales en el sur de la provincia de Córdoba, un espacio que comprendía el departamento Río Cuarto y la frontera interior. Es de interés para este trabajo resignificar el rol articulador de los actores socio-institucionales actuantes en el espacio sureño cordobés y considerar las tensiones que allí se desencadenaron, a la luz de la correspondencia oficial. Se focaliza en las prácticas desarrolladas por autoridades civiles y militares, en su papel de intermediarios en una dinámica que requería de sujetos activos que vehiculizaran, proyectaran y materializaran en las sociedades donde se desenvolvían, la presencia estatal. El análisis se ocupa de las acciones y discursos que confirmaban esa articulación y de las que revelaban los conflictos para demostrar cómo desde el sur cordobés se reaccionaba frente a los nudos críticos que supuso la construcción estatal en la etapa de la Confederación Argentina

This article contributes to a greater knowledge of the construction of the federal State during the years 1852 to 1861, based on the analysis of the performance of social actors and state agents in the south of the province of Córdoba, a space that included the Río Cuarto department, and its internal border. It is of interest for this work to resignify the articulating role of the socio-institutional actors acting in the southern area of Cordoba and to consider the tensions that were unleashed there, in the light of the official correspondence. It focuses on the practices developed by civil and military authorities, in their role as intermediaries in a dynamic that required active subjects to convey, project and materialize the state presence. The analysis deals with both the actions and speeches that proved this articulation and those that revealed the conflicts, all of this to show how the south of Cordoba reacted to the critical knots that state construction entailed in the Argentine Confederation stage.
