La tríada patrimonio público, paisaje cultural y turismo de proximidad del área metropolitana de Mendoza

Abstract

El turismo de proximidad se incrementó en el marco de la pandemia por COVID-19. El cierre de fronteras y viajes generó una crisis sin precedentes en la actividad turística nacional e internacional. No obstante, ante la necesidad de recreación y dispersión social en la medida que fue permitido transitar por el territorio, incentivó un turismo de proximidad. Sin embargo, los cambios acontecidos en el paisaje cultural por el crecimiento del Área Metropolitana de Mendoza han fraccionado su carácter distintivo. En este marco, sostenemos como hipótesis que el patrimonio público es un potencial recurso tanto para el turismo, como para la gestión y planificación territorial. Ante ello es que proponemos desde un abordaje teórico y metodológico interdisciplinar histórico arquitectónico y geográfico analizar el patrimonio público en relación al paisaje cultural y al turismo de proximidad, como alternativa de desarrollo económico y de utilidad tanto para una gestión de enfoque integral como para una planificación territorial sostenible. Las fuentes de investigación integran documentos históricos y elementos del paisaje natural y bienes patrimoniales.

Local tourism increased in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The closure of borders and travel generated an unprecedented crisis in national and international tourism activity. However, given the need for recreation and social dispersion to the extent that it was allowed to travel through the territory, it encouraged proximity tourism. However, the changes that have occurred in the cultural landscape due to the growth of the Mendoza Metropolitan Area have divided its distinctive character. In this framework, we hypothesize that public heritage is a potential resource both for tourism and for territorial management and planning. Therefore, we propose, from an interdisciplinary historical, architectural and geographical theoretical and methodological approach, to analyze public heritage in relation to the cultural landscape and local tourism, as an alternative for economic development and useful for both comprehensive approach management and planning sustainable land. The research sources integrate historical documents and elements of the natural landscape and heritage buildings.
