Cuerpos e identidades en conflicto: Caracterizaciones morales e ideológicas sobre manifestantes en cortes de ruta

Abstract

En el artículo pretendemos indagar en el conflicto de interpretaciones que surge de las acciones y las identidades de los manifestantes que participaron en seis episodios de protesta mediante el corte de ruta entre los años 1996 y 2002 en Argentina. El objetivo será exponer, a través de diversas entrevistas realizadas a los protagonistas de las protestas, las vivencias y recuerdos sobre cada uno de los hechos. A su vez, indagamos sobre las interpretaciones que surgen a partir de la confrontación con los discursos realizados por diversos sectores de la sociedad en particular la dirigencia política‐ y que fueron publicados en la prensa escrita. La intención será elucidar qué elementos se plasman en las construcciones de sentido, tanto en aquellas que establecen distintos tipos de estigmatización política y moral a los manifestantes, como en aquellas que defienden y legitiman las acciones de protesta.

In this article we intend to inquire the conflict of interpretations arising from the actions and identities of the protesters who participated in six episodes of protest through the road blockade between 1996 and 2002 in Argentina. The aim is to expose, through interviews with the protagonists of the protests, the experiences and memories about each of the facts. In turn, we inquire about the interpretations that arise from the confrontation with the dis‐ courses made by various sectors of society ‐the political leadership in particular‐, which were published by the press. The intention will be to elucidate which elements are reflected in the construction of sense, those that provide different kinds of political and moral stigma to the protesters, and those who defend and legitimize the actions of protest.
