Sobre el vínculo entre humanismo moderno y filosofía de la técnica: Martin Heidegger y Gilbert Simondon

Abstract

Este artículo intenta trazar la relación entre el humanismo heredado del siglo XIX y la actual filosofía de la técnica a partir de una comparación entre las posturas de Martin Heidegger y Gilbert Simondon. Esta comparación es necesaria por la importancia de ambos autores para la filosofía de la técnica ya que presentan posturas supuestamente antitéticas sobre la relación entre el hombre y el fenómeno técnico; y porque contrastaron sus posiciones con contenidos específicos de lo tecnológico en el siglo XX como la manipulación de la energía nuclear, la emergencia de las tecnologías digitales, los cambios en la configuración de los fenómenos vitales (biología molecular) y la consolidación de los medios de comunicación de masas, entre otros. A pesar de que los escritos fundamentales de estos autores sobre la técnica daten de los años cincuenta, la profundidad de sus reflexiones obliga a preguntarse sobre qué imagen de hombre puede aún ser reivindicada a la luz de las transformaciones mencionadas, algo que implica cuestionar la alianza conceptual entre el humanismo moderno y la filosofía de la técnica.

This article tries to draw up the relation between the humanism inherited from 19th century and the present philosophy of technology through a comparison between the works of Martin Heidegger and Gilbert Simondon. This comparison is necessary because of the importance of both authors in terms of what they did of the philosophy of the technology; because both philosophers supposedly present antithetic positions on the relation between man and the technological phenomenon; and because they confronted some of the specific contents of the technological issue in the 20th century, such as the manipulation of nuclear power, the emergence of digital technologies, the changes in the configuration of biological phenomena (molecular biology) and the consolidation of mass media, among others. Although their fundamental writings on technology date from the fifties, the depth of their studies forces us to ask about what kind of image of man can still be vindicated in the light of these transformations, an issue that also implies questioning the conceptual alliance between modern humanism and the philosophy of technology at issue.
