Cuando se escucha “Urquiza traidor”: Prensa y tendencias de opinión en los años de 1840

Abstract

El objetivo central de este trabajo es analizar cómo interviene la prensa entrerriana y los grupos de poder y de opinión en el contexto de un posible plan de conspiración en la coyuntura del Tratado de Alcaraz. Acuerdo que, según sus premisas iniciales, resolvería por métodos pacíficos el conflicto que Corrientes mantiene con la Confederación. El Federal Entrerriano no ha sido suficientemente investigado y constituye uno de los materiales centrales de esta investigación, en sus páginas se trata de dar cuenta de las acciones del gobierno en un momento donde este tiene una posición no enteramente clara con relación al jefe de la Confederación.

The main objective of this paper is to analyze how the Entre Ríos press, and power and opinion groups intervene in the context of a possible conspiracy plan at the juncture of the Alcaraz Treaty. This agreement, according to its initial premises, would resolve by peaceful methods the conflict that Corrientes maintains with the Confederation. The Entrerriano Federal has not been sufficiently investigated and constitutes one of the central materials of this investigation, in its pages it tries to give account of the actions of the government at a time where it has a position not entirely clear in relation to the head of the Confederation.
