dc.description.abstract
During last four decades the sandy desertification has show n a continued spread in the arid and semi-arid region of the North China. The sandy desertified land had expanded by 1 560 km annually on the average from the middle of 1950's to the middle of 1970 's, and in the last decade it has gone up to 2 100 km. The sandy desertified land ha s reached 197 000 km.
