Las ciencias sociales en debate: en torno a la enunciación y politización del discurso científico en la Argentina

Abstract

En un escenario de reactivación de políticas neoliberales en América Latina las ciencias sociales han sido objeto de debates y polémicas, vinculadas con su utilidad/ inutilidad. En este texto se abordan, en primer lugar, los significados de la noción de utilidad y usos del conocimiento social a partir de distintos aportes teóricos. En segundo lugar, se analizan discursos sobre las ciencias sociales de autoridades e investigadores/as en diversos contextos de enunciación en la Argentina que permiten reconocer la relevancia que adquirieron en los últimos 15 años en el marco del desarrollo de políticas científicas. Por último, se abordan los discursos de resistencia de jóvenes becarios y becarias frente a políticas de ajuste presupuestario implementadas por el gobierno que asumió en diciembre del 2015 y la emergencia de un acontecimiento público que dio lugar a formas de enunciación y politización inéditas de la comunidad científica.

In a scenario of reactivation of neoliberal policies in Latin America, the social sciences have been a subject of debates and controversies, linked to their utility / uselessness. This paper addresses, first, the meanings of the notion of utility, and how the uses of social knowledge is understood from different theoretical contributions. Secondly, we analyze discourses on social sciences in different contexts of enunciation in Argentina from authorities and researchers. This allow us to recognize the relevance that these discourses acquired in the last 15 years in the framework of the development of scientific policies. Finally, the discourses of resistance of young scholars against budget adjustment policies implemented by the government that took office in December 2015 are addressed, along with the analysis of the emergence of a public event that gave rise to unprecedented forms of enunciation and politicization of the scientific community.
