Luchas campesinas en Argentina: La supervivencia de un sujeto incómodo en los albores del Siglo XXI

Abstract

En este artículo abordamos de forma general las luchas campesinas en la Argentina desde comienzos del siglo XX hasta los albores del siglo XXI para identificar y analizar rupturas y continuidades tanto en sus acciones colectivas de protesta, como en los procesos de reconstrucción identitaria, así como su relación con el Estado y otros actores. Abordamos también sus diferentes demandas y los cambios acaecidos en torno a las disputas por la tierra y territorio en relación a los diferentes modelos de desarrollo agrario hegemónicos que se fueron conformando en la Argentina durante los distintos períodos abordados. Para ello nos basamos en bibliografía especializada que trabaja sobre los distintos períodos de la lucha campesina en Argentina, así como nuestros propios trabajos de investigación con diversos movimientos campesinos contemporáneos.

In this article we discuss in general terms the peasant struggles in Argentina from the beginning of the 20th century to the dawn of the 21st century in order to identify and analyze ruptures and continuities both in their collective protest actions and in the processes of identity reconstruction, as well as their relationship with the State and other actors. We also address their different demands and the changes that have taken place around the disputes for land and territory in relation to the different hegemonic models of agrarian development that have been shaped in Argentina during the different periods covered. In order to do so, we based ourselves on specialized bibliography working on the different periods of peasant struggle in Argentina as well as our own research work with various contemporary peasant movements.
