La complejidad de la Estructura Argumental y su influencia en el procesamiento de oraciones en español

Abstract

L´estructura argumental (EA) és la informació que tenen els verbs sobre els rols sintàctics i dels temàtics. L´objectiu d´aquest treball és investigar com es manifesta l´efecte de la complexitat de l´EA en una tasca de Elicitació d´oracions i una de Judicis de Gramaticalidad. Van participar de l´estudi un grup de 62 subjectes adults parlants nadius de l´espanyol rioplatense de diferents edats i nivells d´escolaritat. Els estímuls van ser confeccionats considerant la quantitat d´arguments obligatoris que requereix un verb: 1, 2 i 3, i la canonicitat al mapatge sintàctic-semàntic (intransitius inacusativos vs inergativos). Les troballes suggereixen que a major nombre d´arguments es generen més dificultats, especialment en subjectes de baixa escolaritat. No es van trobar diferències entre els verbs intransitius. Es discutiran els resultats a la llum d´hipòtesis lingüístiques i neuropsicolingüísticas. Les tasques d´aquest estudi formen part d´una bateria d´avaluació de la morfosintaxi per a persones amb afàsia.

The argument structure (AS) is the information that verbs have about syntactic and thematic roles. The objective of this work is to investigate how the effect of the complexity of EA is manifested in a Sentence Elicitation and a Grammatical Judgments task. A group of 62 native speakers of Rioplatense Spanish of different ages and levels of education participated in the study. The stimuli were made considering the number of obligatory arguments that a verb requires: 1, 2, and 3, and the canonicity in the syntactic-semantic mapping (intransitive inacusative vs. inergative). The findings suggest that the greater the number of arguments, the greater the difficulties, especially in subjects with low schooling. No differences were found between intransitive verbs. Results will be discussed in light of linguistic and neuropsycholinguistic hypotheses. The tasks from this study are part of a battery of morphosyntax assessment for people with aphasia.
