Hacia el desarrollo y aplicación de modelos inferenciales para análisis bibliométricos en carreras de psicología

Abstract

Numerosos estudios se han realizado sobre la formación de grado en psicología. Varios de ellos realizan abordajes historiográficos, de análisis de políticas educativas e inclusive sobre aspectos demográficos. Un eje particular es aquel que retoma la bibliografía referenciada en las asignaturasde las carreras de grado, sometiéndola a un tipo de análisis socio-bibliométrico. Las investigaciones de este tipo, por otro lado, exigen cuantiosas cantidades de tiempo y esfuerzo de carga, pues típicamente sólo hacen abordajes poblacionales. El trabajo propone retomar este tipo de investigaciones, pero a partir de desarrollar modelos que permitan realizar muestreos de las poblaciones. De esta manera, se cruzaría el terreno de la cienciometría con la estadística inferencial, logrando ahorrar recursos y ejecutar análisis prácticamente igual de potentes. Los resultados de este tipo de investigaciones, por otro lado, pueden ayudan a observar un aspecto central de cualquier carrera de grado de psicología: los tipos de texto con los cuales se enseña. Es desde allí que pueden plantearse reflexiones y perspectivas críticas acerca de los planes de estudio, apoyadas en la evidencia documental.

Numerous studies have been conducted on undergraduate training in psychology. Several of them carry out historiographic approaches, analysis of educational policies and even on demographic aspects. A particular axis is one that takes up the bibliography referenced in the subjects of the undergraduate courses, subjecting it to a type of socio-bibliometric analysis. Investigations of this type, on the other hand, require large amounts of loading time and effort, as they typically only do population-based approaches. The work proposes to retake this type of research, but from developing models that allow sampling the populations. In this way, the field of scientometrics would be crossed with inferential statistics, saving resources and executing analyzes that were practically as powerful. The results of this type of research, on the other hand, can help to observe a central aspect of any psychology degree career: the types of text with which it is taught. It is from there that critical reflections and perspectives about the study plans can be raised, supported by documentary evidence.
