La represa de Yaciretá en el desarrollo energético y territorial

Abstract

Varias décadas han pasado entre los inicios y la terminación de la represa de Yacyretá. Pero ahora genera aportes en electricidad para una Argentina con necesidades energéticas crecientes y tiende a modificar la realidad y el potencial de la región del Noreste, por largo tiempo relegada. Una mirada geohistórica dada a Yacyretá ilustra en el tiempo y en el espacio, la magnitud de esta obra pública como fuente de energía para los países y la región y como proyecto de infraestructura en un territorio. Este trabajo se apoya sobre una base empírica y en el estudio de bibliografía sobre la represa, tomando en consideración reflexiones teóricas vinculadas al tema de las redes, la coordinación entre actores y el desarrollo territorial.

Several decades have passed between the beginning and the completion of Yacyretá dam. But now it contributes to generate electricity for Argentina, who has growing energy needs and it changes the reality and the potential of Northeast region, long time neglected. A geohistorical look at Yacyretá illustrates the magnitude of this public work, in time and space, as a source of energy for the countries and the region and as an infrastructure project in a territory. This work is based on an empirical basis and on the study of the vast literature about Yacyretá dam. It also takes into account theoretical concepts of networks, coordination between actors and territorial development.
