Teoría: Escritura y vida

Abstract

En este trabajo nos proponemos revisar los vínculos que se establecen entre escritura y vida en el discurso de la teoría literaria a partir de dos casos: la influencia de Maurice Blanchot en Roland Barthes y el reciente debate en torno al fin de la teoría. Utilizamos el concepto “La resistencia a la teoría” de Paul de Man como operador de lectura que nos permite problematizar continuidades establecidas entre el discurso histórico y el discurso teórico. Por otro lado, nos interesa destacar los aportes de Alberto Giordano en torno a la relación entre teoría literaria extranjera y crítica literaria argentina desde la década de 1990 hasta la actualidad.

In this paper we will consider the intersection between writing and life in literary theory discourse based on two cases: Maurice Blanchot’s influence on Roland Barthes, and the contemporary debate around the end of theory. We use Paul de Man’s “resistance to theory” notion to revise the continuities established between historical and theoretical discourses. On the other hand, we aim to highlight Alberto Giordano's contributions concerning the relationship between foreign literary theory and Argentine literary criticism from the 1990s to today.
