La cuestión metodológica en el estudio del desarrollo cognitivo

Abstract

El trabajo se propone hacer una síntesis de las diferentes posturas teórico-metodológicas que han emergido en el campo de la psicología del desarrollo, en especial del desarrollo cognitivo. Aunque no todas tienen la misma validez histórica, estas diferentes concepciones tiñen, a veces de manera solapada, el discurso psicológico actual. Precisamente, se intenta explicitar los rasgos identificatorios de cada postura, no siempre bien discriminados. También se analiza la relación entre el aspecto metodológico y las asunciones teórico-epistemológicas.

The article aims at making an outline of the different theoretical and methodological approaches that have risen in developmental psychology, particularly those regarding cognitive development. Although not all of these perspectives have the same current relevance, all of them influence the development of contemporary psychological discourse. Therefore the article attempts to depict the gist of each approach, given that the main characteristics of these perspectives are not usually defined clearly and distinguished among the different theories. In addition the relation between methodological and theoretical-epistemological aspects is analyzed.
