Politización y relaciones sociales en Mendoza (Argentina) durante la década revolucionaria (1810-1820). Conflictos y consensos en la configuración de un nuevo orden

Abstract

El trabajo aborda el modo en que impactaron los cambios institucionales revolucionarios en las relaciones sociales de la gobernación cuyana desde 1810, analizando cómo se interpretó la autoridad de los nuevos funcionarios y se toleró el creciente control de la vida pública y las exigencias militares y pecuniarias. Así, se considera que la población vio politizados sus vínculos al calor del creciente compromiso público exigido por el proceso político, ello alejado de la imagen pasiva idealizada por el relato historiográfico tradicional

The paper deals with the impact of the institutional changes of the revolution on the social relations of the government in the argentine región of Cuyo in 1.810. The analysis is focused on the way in which the authority of the new politicians was interpreted and how the increasing control of the public life and the economical and military demands were tolerated by the people. In this way, we explain our consideration towards the population: how its bonds were gradually politicized as the public commitment grew within this political process; and how this reality was reaily far from the passive image idealized by the traditionai historiography
