Resumen
Camelidhunting has been a central practice for the social reproduction of humanpopulations who occupied the South Central Andes through time. One of theevidences that contributes relevant information about this subject matter arethe projectile points and its connection with different weapon systems and the huntingstrategies implemented by these groups. In this work, we will present the informationobtained of the intensive survey realized in two archaeological places of thecatamarqueña highlands. The projectile points recovered in the fieldwork wereanalyzed in order to understand the manufacture techniques and the assignmentto different types of weapon and to its historical depth. Finally, with thisinformation, we will evaluate the different hunting strategies performed byhunters and compare this model with other proposals made in other research inthe same landscape.
